Course Summary:
The As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) Training for Technical Support Personnel consists of a procedure driven presentation with group discussions, individual/group exercises with student participation, and a tour of the ALARA Center of Technology.

Target Audience:
The target population includes planners, schedulers, engineers, radiological control technician first line managers/radiological engineers, and procedure writers who work in, or support work performed in radiological areas.

Course Prerequisites *:
Radiological Worker II
AJHA Course #172702
ISMS Orientation #172700

Course Evaluation:
Successful completion of the course will be evaluated by the Instructor during student involvement, participation, and understanding of the ALARA principles during individual/group exercises.

Course Length:
8 hours. Five (5) hours consisting of the procedure driven presentation and three (3) hours touring the ALARA Center of Technology.

Course Frequency:
Monthly and upon request.
