Course Summary:
The Certified Asbestos Worker Initial training course is approved for state certified asbestos abatement work located in Washington and reciprocal states.

The State of Washington Asbestos Worker Certification fee of $25.00 is included in the tuition.

Target Audience:
This course is required by state and federal law for workers involved in asbestos abatement and removal.

Course Prerequisites:
There are no course prerequisites.

Course Evaluation:
This course includes a mock abatement project in which students hang plastic, set up a negative air system, construct a decontamination unit, and learn how to safely remove debris and execute cleanup tasks. A comprehensive examination is given on the last day of the course, and a certificate of training is awarded to each student upon successful completion of the course.
