Course Summary:
The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Certified Project Designer course provides the training to certify project designers as regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency. The retrain frequency for this course is 12 months.

Target Audience:
Those who design a response action in public or commercial buildings. It is recommended training for industrial hygienists, engineers, architects, construction managers, estimators, and such consultants.

Course Prerequisites:
There are no formal course prerequisites. It is strongly recommended that students complete the Certified Asbestos Supervisor Training prior to attending this course.

Course Evaluation:
An AHERA controlled written examination will be used to measure whether or not the student has met the training objectives. The student must attain a score of 80 percent or higher on the written examination for successful course completion.
