Suspect and Counterfeit Items, Module #1:
Course 170720
Course Summary: The Suspect and Counterfeit Items course presents general awareness training that informs individuals on suspect and counterfeit materials identified to date. Students will learn how to identify, what to do with, and who to report to when a suspect and counterfeit item has been found. Inspection techniques, equipment identification, and reporting methods will be reviewed.
Two variations of this course are available. The first, 17C720, is geared for employees in the crafts. Since they handle material every day and are more cognizant of problems, they require less time for the hands-on exercises. The second variation is 17M720, which is a very short, fast paced version for the managers of the personnel who will be involved with the materials. The focus is on raising the awareness of the management to the problems their personnel may be identifying, and to inform them of the requirements from DOE-HQ for actions required when suspect or counterfeit items are identified.
Target Audience: This course is designed for all individuals who may specify, purchase, receive, or install products such as engineers, procurement personnel, and craft and maintenance personnel.
Course Prerequisites: There are no course prerequisites.
Course Evaluation: There is no formal course evaluation.
