Course Summary: The ISMS Automated Job Hazards Analysis Training describes the purpose, basis, objectives and goals of the Department of EnergyÕs (DOE) Integrated Safety Management System, and how to use the AJHA tool for work planning, procedure and plan development and review and implementation of work at DOE site facilities. This training is especially effective for craft, operations, safety and health professionals, and managers involved in the actual planning of work activities within their organization. Using an interactive team setting, the following topics are covered:

Review of ISMS and Work Planning teams

Overview of the Automated Job Hazard Analysis (AJHA) Tool

Demonstration of the AJHA Tool

Using work planning input and the AJHA Tool

Implementing ISMS and the AJHA Tool

Facility specific training
Target Audience: This course is intended for those who prepare work packages and/or are work planning teams including craft, operations, safety and health professionals, planners, engineers, and management.
Course Prerequisites: None
Course Evaluation: ISMS Performance Demonstration Review
Course Length: Up to 4 hours, but may be less depending upon composition of facility teams, scope of work. Practical application exercises including the work planning team scenarios and
the hands-on use of the Automated Job Hazard Analysis Tool.
