Course Summary:
This two-day course is designed to familiarize attendees with the tactics associated with various high-risk traffic stop situations. Class time is kept to a minimum, while field time utilizing force-on-force scenarios are the focus. The goal of this course is to begin the "stress inoculation" process in attendees by placing them in "real world" situations. Simunitions are used during the scenarios to begin this process.
The local Hazardous Materials Management Emergency Response (HAMMER) training facility's practical areas will be used to present "real as it gets" training.
Target Audience:
This course is intended for use by sworn law enforcement personnel engaged in vehicle stop activities
Course Prerequisites:
None required.
Course Evaluation:
Practical exercises will be used to measure student mastery of the training objectives.
