Course Summary: :
The On-Site Responders Awareness Essentials course provides essential training needed for On-Site Responder (OSR) personnel to ensure they effectively manage that critical period of time from the onset of an event or an attack until the arrival of the uniformed first responders.
The following topics are included in the training:

Brief history of terrorism in the USA

Recognition of the warning signs of BINICET attacks

Types of harm/injuries OSR personnel could be expected to face

OSR personnel responsibilities once a threat has been received

OSR personnel responsibilities once an attack has occurred

Thinking under duress

Keeping yourself and others calm

The "Keys" to self/staff protection

Understanding and implementing incident command structure
Target Audience: :
On-Site Responders (OSR) are those people who are directly affected by an event or an attack. They must handle the event or attack from the onset of the attack to the arrival of the uniformed first responders. OSRs encompass a broad spectrum of personnel including fire safety directors, corporate security directors, division vice presidents, building managers or building emergency directors.
Course Prerequisites: There are no course prerequisites.
Course Evaluation: Class discussions and practical exercises will be used to measure student mastery of the training objectives.
Course Length: 4 hours
